A little bit about me
Hiya, I’m Rachael!
I started Sunniside Marketing in early 2025, based in Sunderland, North East England.
After having worked both agency and in-house in marketing, social media, content and PR roles over the last 10(ish) years, it was finally time to take that big leap out on my own as a freelance social media manager, content writer and copywriter.
Before that, I spent many years in various sales and customer service roles, meaning I’ve got a bloomin’ good grasp on what client’s are looking for from both sides of the coin.
I started Sunniside as a friendly freelance helping hand for SMBs who need flexible marketing support, from someone who actually, genuinely gives a sh*t about what they do, and the success of their business.
Bringing words to life, developing brands from an idea on a page to a fully-fledged business, creating communities packed with value, getting into the nitty gritty of what your audience REALLY wants to see - I love it all.
I specialise in social media, content writing, copywriting and community building, creating very human content that speaks to people, well, like people.
Many of my clients find themselves juggling too much, overthinking everything they post, or stuck knowing what they want to say but not quite how to say it.
That’s where I come in.
I help with the thinking, the wording, the planning and the doing. So your marketing stops feeling like a constant background stress and starts feeling manageable (and fun).

One of my favourite things about being a freelance content marketer is that I’m not restricted to one niche. As a self-confessed chronically curious person, I absolutely thrive on getting stuck into an industry I may not know a lot about.
Whatever weird or wonderful thing it is that fuels your brand, chances are I’ll be just as excited to get involved as you are.
If you’ve got a project and you’re looking for a down-to-earth expert to tackle it right alongside you, I’m your gal.
Think of me as your right-hand woman, an extension of you or your team. I can fit right into your day-to-day life, or I can hop in for a short time whenever you need me.
I may not be able to do the splits, but as a marketer, I’m about as flexible as you can get.
